Exciting news! Foreign rights for my 2009 trilogy from Berkley are currently being auctioned in Germany. Four publishers are bidding and I'm thrilled with the foreign interest in the books! Needless to say, I'm feeling pretty warm and fuzzy toward Germany right now

Finally I can share the great news with all of you--last week I received an offer from Berkley for a dark romantic thriller trilogy. I'm positively giddy with excitement! I've been wanting to write bigger, more complex books for a while and now I'll get my chance! The connected books revolve around a private agency of forensic consultants who contract with law enforcement on high-profile crimes. Lots of suspense to go with the romance :) The first, WAKING NIGHTMARE, will be released Sept. 09, WAKING EVIL will be released in Oct. '09 and WAKING THE DEAD comes out Nov. 09. The first book is done; just have to get busy on the next two

In the what's-coming-next category, I just verbally agreed yesterday to another trilogy for SRS. It's a three book series about members of a S.W.A.T. squad on the West coast . It's looking good for keeping at least the first novel's title--The Negotiators. The hero and heroine are hostage negotiators who share a past...and a future! I'll keep you posted about titles and release dates.

Hey all--just thought I'd post some good news I've gotten while it's still recent enough to matter. At least it matters to me But my October release THE LAST WARRIOR made a good showing in contest finals and wins. It won the long contemporary category for the Write Touch Reader's Award and finaled in the contests for Lories Award, First Coast Beacon Award, the More than Magic Award and the Golden Quill Award. It was also a nominee for a Cata-Romance award, so lots to celebrate! It's like your kid winning the spelling bee--Momma's so proud All the good news almost, almost diminishes the sting from having the Post Office fail to deliver my books in time to compete for the Rita Award this year. But I'm over that. I don't hold a grudge. I don't hold a grudge. I don't hold a. . .oh, who am I kidding? I'm a Scorpio. I finally understand the term 'going postal'! I do have some good buddies who finaled for Ritas and Golden Heart Awards this year, so I'll be sending all my well wishes their way. Let's hope I have more pull in that area than I do with the Post Office

My second grandson, Kasen James, is born. He and his
eleven-month-old brother, Rylan Jace, are the cutest little boys on the planet,
all bias aside!
