Fall TV

download-2 This is my favorite week of fall because it’s the week many of my favorite shows return for their new seasons. Although I’ll be too busy to watch until next week, my DVR is already set so I don’t miss a thing.

It takes a lot to hook me on a television program. Sometimes I love the premise and storylines, but I can’t relate to the actors (like Criminal Minds.) Other times I might love the actor, but find the show unwatchable (Santa Clarita Diet). Just like a book, I have to be engaged right away to want to continue with it.

I love my cop shows. This summer I caught up with all the seasons of The Wire, which was phenomenal. And I’m always a sucker for suspense and thrillers. That said, there really are few TV shows that have me returning again and again. NCIS, Blacklist, This is Us, Life in Pieces, The Voice, Suits, Bull, and Shades of Blue round out my must-watch shows. I don’t have a lot of time to watch TV, but I catch up with my programs on the treadmill during the winter. (My favorite is NCIS. Just love me some Gibbs!)

Admittedly, I’m a tough sell when it comes to watching new television series. I’ll definitely give the new Will and Grace a try, as I liked the show in the past. But I often have to turn to Netflix, HBO and Amazon for new programming.

Lots of times I discover new series by word-of-mouth. So tell me your favorite shows or series you’ve enjoyed. I’ll write them down and give them a look!

I love all the crime shows too. Love Endeavour, Lewis, Midsomer Murders and especially Vera – Brenda Blethyn is fab and it is great to see an older woman, no makeup, out of shape, as the strong lead in a detective drama – fabulous!

Gave up on NCIS after Zeva left. Couldn’t bear the replacement with the black caterpillar eyebrows that deserve their own listing in the credits! Enjoy Longmire though! ?

I don’t think we get any of the shows you mentioned 🙁 Longmire is a favorite, though! Love that show.

I think they may be on Netflix or Amazon. You can get them because I have a friend in the States that has watched them, will ask her the channel!
